Fishing is good to excellent in whittier and seward.  just got a nice 110 pounder out of whittier two weeks ago.

in 45 minutes we pulled a 110lb 80lb, 70lb, and a 50 lb halibut.  IT was a ton of fighting.  The rest of the 5 days was so so but we got a ton of halibut that last day.

I prefer Dip-Net at the Copper River out of Chitna.  Much more fun, danger, and such.

ah yes been there done that what a blast.  Is the road still working between the creeks down there from chitna?  I heard they closed that road down but wasn't sure about this year.

Yes they are open, but the fishing situation allover Alaska is abysmal.  Even the 'late run' that everyone was hoping for...didn't happen.

Water is so clear here, that I need to be able to SEE the water before I drink it!  This way I can tell if I am drinking water or something else!
