It may be possible to install a Savonius turbine sideways into a water stream...might produce a nice high torque output while still small enough to fit into smaller streams.

Definitely worth looking into.

i'm going to make a water turbine and i have talked to a guy with some serious cash today.  Who had some amazing ideas for the hho and so on.  He is going to make a wave powerd pnumatic salt water pump this is simply amazing how powerful and basic die hard this is.  The pump sends salt water to shore at high pressure to run a hydro turbine simply amazing since this will be done out at cape yakataga were the wind is 40mph constant and the waves are 6foot almost every day 24/7 it's a crazy place.  He wants to make electricity and hho there commercially.

I would actually like to see that completed. It would be very interesting to see. Did he have an idea of the kind of out put it should be producing.
