   <description><![CDATA[I think the biggest goal here to all our energy needs is a machine you basically hand power once a week or twice a week for a few minutes and it makes all the power you need for your home.&nbsp;&nbsp;People would go for this.<br /><br />so a small idea i had earlier was to use a 100lb iron flywheel with plastic on the outside of it.&nbsp;&nbsp;Levitate the fly wheel between two neodymium magnets (1200lbs of force each) with polarity together as ++&#124;++ with a magnet on each side of the fly wheel then a magnet on a chassis and above the flywheel on another extension of the chassis.&nbsp;&nbsp;The unit levitates on the magnetism which greatly reduces it's friction.&nbsp;&nbsp;Plastic is adhered to the outside of the flywheel.&nbsp;&nbsp;Then a dissimilar plastic is adhered in a ring shape very close to the flywheel on the chassis so that as the flywheel spins it generates static electricity in a 360 degree fashion.&nbsp;&nbsp;Fine copper wires are embedded on the plastic adhered to the flywheel to capture the electricity.&nbsp;&nbsp;The copper wire runs down a shaft on the bottom of the flywheel to a graphite small rod which is the arc point onto a graphite plate that runs into a inductive transformer to reduce the voltage and increase current.&nbsp;&nbsp;This will allow us to make the static electricity into usable power to charge batteries or run electronic devices.&nbsp;&nbsp;A motor with a wheel pulls in to get the unit started.&nbsp;&nbsp;We'll start rpms at 1200 rpms.&nbsp;&nbsp;Predicting a start up of 1200 watts for 12 seconds.&nbsp;&nbsp;it should keep it's rpms for about 40 hours at a time.&nbsp;&nbsp;Actual time will tell once it's built.&nbsp;&nbsp;People I have called about this said with 100lbs of iron we may be looking more at 90 hours of run time.&nbsp;&nbsp;]]></description>

   <title>Battery Life Extender</title>

   <description><![CDATA[Battery Life Extender.&nbsp;&nbsp;I personally call it the "Battery Controller" to those whom know me in person.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br /><br />This nifty little piece of hardware was borne out of a power outage, a single 500 watt inverter, a messy garage, and a dead battery.<br /><br />The horrendous winds came once more....(sounds like a prequel to a mystery horror novel....) and knocked the power out...AGAIN.<br /><br />Well, this time the power went out, and STAYED OUT.&nbsp;&nbsp;After the first 72 hours, the house was getting quite chilly, and the candles were stinking very badly at this point.&nbsp;&nbsp;So, out came the flashlights, and the search for the generator to plug into the Natural Gas Tap on the side of the house at the gas meter.&nbsp;&nbsp;We couldn't find it.&nbsp;&nbsp;8 hours of searching.&nbsp;&nbsp;Not enough light and the batteries in the lights were all but dead.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br /><br />Out comes the inverter.&nbsp;&nbsp;Great.&nbsp;&nbsp;2 good car batteries sitting atop the bench.&nbsp;&nbsp;Connect to car battery....green light, power up....connect single florescent light...switch light on...&nbsp;&nbsp; LIGHT BLINKS.&nbsp;&nbsp;Inverter light goes RED, and inverter squeals the low battery warning.&nbsp;&nbsp;DARN!&nbsp;&nbsp;(Add a few other expletives here...) connect to other battery....now we have light.<br /><br />Find generator, make huge mess getting it out of the storage 'piling system' and crank for 70 minutes to fire it up (rope pulling at -40 is NOT FUN!!!!!!!) now we have HEAT!!&nbsp;&nbsp;WOO HOO!&nbsp;&nbsp;And we have a little extra light as well.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br /><br />Now about that dead battery....<br /><br />Voltage: 12.76 Volts.<br />Connect to 100 Amp load bank for 10 seconds...9....8....ZILCH!<br /><br />Battery drops off to zilch after 3 seconds on the load bank!&nbsp;&nbsp;<br /><br />Check water level....water fine....Check the S.G.&nbsp;&nbsp;S.G. is good....<br /><br />Connect Volt Meter....12.76 volts.<br /><br />Great.<br /><br />Dandy.<br /><br />Connect load bank.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br /><br />I wonder what happens if I cycle the load on and off in 1 second intervals?&nbsp;&nbsp;<br /><br />10....9....8....7....6.....5....4....3....2....1.....0....<br /><br />Coils are glowing YELLOW HOT and the meter barely budged from the 11.9 volt mark.&nbsp;&nbsp;What the F***????<br /><br />Allow the load tester to cool by holding it out in the high speed winter wind for all of a total 15 seconds.&nbsp;&nbsp;MMM...Nice and FROSTY!!&nbsp;&nbsp;BRRRRR!!<br /><br />Now connect load bank again to battery.&nbsp;&nbsp;Connect and hold....10...9.....8....ZILCH!!&nbsp;&nbsp;DAMN!<br /><br />So It got me thinking about this.<br /><br />So I devised a circuit that cycles the battery in 2 second bursts with a 1 second over-lay in such a sequence that the batteries experience a 2 second spike draw, whilst the appliance experiences only a straight DC current.<br /><br />I call it the BATTERY LIFE CONTROLLER, BATTERY CONTROLLER, BATTERY LIFE EXTENDER....Whatever.<br /><br />It works.&nbsp;&nbsp;A guy from the Pentagon/ DOD came north and dumped $7K on it to finish it out.<br /><br />I have pictures, and such and will post soon.<br /><br />It is a PARALLEL CONNECTION TREE for battery to load hookup.&nbsp;&nbsp;This means that if you are using 6 volt batteries, and you need 18 volts, you will have to assemble them into BANKS of 18 volts to be connected into parallel trees.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br /><br />The timing was such that the sequence REQUIRED a system set-up of 8 connection rotation to get the results.&nbsp;&nbsp;2 seconds burst with a 1 second overlay.&nbsp;&nbsp;So for the 6 volt batteries making 18 volts, you would need EIGHT BANKS of three 6-volt batteries.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br /><br />If you are using twelve 12-volt batteries to achieve 144 volts, then this controller would require that you use EIGHT BANKS of 12 batteries at 144 volts.<br /><br />The end product is designed to be used to trigger ANY switching device to make it possible to customize it for ANY AMPERAGE requirement.<br /><br />I will post pictures here shortly.<br /><br />Since an electric car is in the near future, I am also going to us it on the electric car.&nbsp;&nbsp;The electric car design uses the Aerothermal Engine Process, but electric heating elements will be the power source for the heat.<br /><br />AlaskaStar]]></description>
